DIY Rustic Chair Leg’s

table legs

( before & after)

I recently acquired some beautiful chairs from Homesense however the black legs were really not working in our dining room. I decided to try and make them look rustic to flow better with our set from Restoration Hardware. I love how they turned out so much! It was so simple to achieve this rustic look and just took some sand paper, elbow grease , and a little bit of cloud white paint from Benjamin Moore.

1. I sanded the legs down till they had the right amount of chocolate brown stain left with the natural wood color underneath

2. I used a tiny amount of paint and applied it to each side, of each leg, and then rubbed in circles to blend it in. This helped to take some of the orange undertones out of the wood.

THATS IT!

I love easy DIY’s.

And now these don’t look like everyone else’s dining chairs from a big box store, but have unique character.  And look so much better in our dining room!!
