I wanted to give a little update on our master bedroom. Please excuse these fuzzy photos as they were taken with my iphone but I haven’t had a chance to take some with my other camera. When we moved into this house my priorities were on other rooms, especially my girls bedroom and the living room. However I have a hard time with rooms being completely undecorated lol so I did a temporary design with contact paper which you can find here. I loved that look but had always dreamed of having a soft, relaxing, calming room. Now that those other bedrooms are done I can focus on our master bedroom again.
I took down the contact paper and started the process of picking out a soft and dreamy wallpaper. I found this one from York Wallpaper its called Watercolor floral and the best part was I got it on major sale from here. If you want to do wallpaper in a room but cant afford doing the entire room, find a wallpaper that can be turned horizontal and run it around your room in one strip. Then use your trim to cover the edge and give the room a finished look ( we haven’t gotten there yet and I am still waiting for more wallpaper). This helped soften the room, then I added white sheer window coverings and got a new chair ( from Homesense), not many new additions but they completely transformed the space. I am sticking with neutral colours and wood tones to keep everything soft and subtle.
More additions to come, I cant wait till its all finished.
