I was working on a clients design board for her son’s ” big boy” room this week, and I loved it so much I thought I would share! I only have girls rooms to decorate around here so I love whenever I get to work on a more “masculine” project. Of course my go to design doesn’t stray far from what I would pick in any room. I still stick to light and airy colours for the walls, for this room I suggested classic grey by Benjamin Moore, simply white for trim. I love the grey brown stain of the bed. They already owned a bookcase in a similar shade and are purchasing the corresponding nightstands to bring it all together. The white dresser is perfect to keep the room bright with all the darker stained furniture.
I love layering rugs to add texture and warmth to a space. This can also be done in a room with pre-existing carpet.I love this Stripe Rug from Dash and Albert, they are my go to for layering rugs as they are not heavy or thick. The perfect rug for layering is a sheep skin rug. They come in faux or real and add so much texture to any room ( I even have one is my kitchen).Almost all of my sheep skin rugs are from Costco. They are super affordable and really plush. This one can be found here Sheep Skin Rug.
