Can you believe Easter is right around the corner! I thought I would share a fun little Easter Party for little ones or for those young at heart! The girls were so excited to have a little Easter dessert party. They were slightly confused as its not yet Easter, but these are the perks of your Mother writing a blog and posting Holiday stuff early haha LUCKY extra parties and treats at our house ( I dont mind this side of blogging either lol but my waistline does). They helped me set their little table for their party and then ran upstairs to get all dressed up together!
For our Peter Rabbit theme we started by using a soft pastel colored table cloth. I love pastels so Spring and Easter in particular are perfect Holidays for my decorating urges! Then I made this little pom-pom runner by using Kraft Paper and adding some pom-pom trim with hot glue to the sides. I love layering table runners when decorating the table, and its so easy to be creative and make your own not to mention they are very cost-effective! Then we added one more layer with an ADORBLE Peter Rabbit runner sent to us from Pottery Barn Kids. It is beautiful and brings me back to when my sisters and I were little and we loooooved reading all the Peter Rabbit books in our school library.
I was going to put some pretty flowers in the center but nothing seemed to work so out came my trusty old Rabbit cookie jar and it was perfect! Get creative with your table center pieces, I always pull odds and ends from around our home to make really fun and quirky folcal points for our table settings.
The girls loved all the little bunnies all over their plates and cups and cutlery. We love rabbits around here and if you look through our pictures from around the house you will usually be able to spot one.
Next week on the blog I will share a little Peter rabbit Easter Egg DIY, that we used in our little Easter Baskets.
