I love the changing of the seasons. Fall is by far my favourite however I have never decorated for the changing seasons until my eldest daughter turned 4 and really started to enjoy seeing everyones seasonal decor when we go visit our friends and family. This inspired me to start decorating our home for the seasons but I have two requirements when I do:
This coffee table centrepiece is both and I love how cozy it makes our home but it stays true to my style, bright and white haha
I started by grabbing these adorable knit pumpkins at Save On Foods yesterday. I also stashed up on their mini tiger stripe pumpkins and white pumpkins ( I may have squealed when I saw those little beauties). I brought them home and staggered them over our coffee table books, then grabbed extra faux greenery and flowers and layered those in and ta da simple and pretty, making our home feel extra cozy as the summer turns quickly from fall to winter ( did I mention is snowed here on Sunday….. )
My style is more on the contemporary/eclectic side with a little bit of quirkiness so I always try and add lots of white to my designs to keep them from turning to country on me ( a style i also love but isn’t what we have in our home). So keep in mind if you are trying to achieve something similar to use mainly white or cream elements with tiny bursts of color for a more modern look.
