Homemade Salted Butterscotch Creamer and Our Morning Routine

Homemade Salted Butterscotch Coffee Creamer~ Oh My Dear Blog

I really love finding out what people do with their  day to day lives! I guess its the curious side of my personality or the fact that I am really just nosey but I love love love finding out how others spend their time. So I thought I would share our morning routine with you all and a coffee lovers homemade creamer recipe that is AMAZING!

We recently started homeschooling our daughters and I am loving the “routine” this has given my day. I am by nature a lazy person haha unlike my twin sister who is super organized and has the most amazing daily schedule, I usually fly by the seat of my pants in life, but with our new adventure into homeschooling I have been forced to start a routine and am actually loving it!

I am really really trying to  get up before my girls each day and shower before they are awake. I must shower in the morning in order to fully wake up, but really die inside when they are awake and laying outside my shower door crying or asking me a million questions, so I find our day runs so much smoother when I get this done before they have opened their sleepy little eyes.

Then I make us all breakfast, which usually consists of coffee and deep dish cookie pie for me and some form of toast for them.

Then I move on to applying my make-up and getting the girls dressed and hair brushed and ready to take on the day!

Elizabeth is fascinated with my makeup routine and loves to sit front row and centre while I apply it. I’m ok with this because I too used to LOVE watching my mom put on her makeup so I try to be patient.

On days we stay home she usually applies some dark red lipstick just for fun…. she’s my little snow white! Oh man I just love her so much, I could squish her…..

Then we move on to getting our school work done. Right now Elizabeth is in kindergarten and Paisley is only 4 so she doesn’t technically have any school work but I got her a little work booklet to colour in and a mini chalkboard to practice her letters. She feels so grown up and is adorable to listen to. So far she can write the letter E and P…. she hates colouring which is soon different from her older sister lol I just love how unique they each are.

Right now our homeschool routine consists of practicing our letters in a workbooklet and drawing our numbers and letters on the chalkboard. Counting as high as we can go and colouring pictures. I also try and read out loud during the colouring because it’s something I really struggle with doing before bed but know how important it is! I am really enjoying reading Mr.Poppers Penguins to them and they also love listening to chapter books on audio before  bed.
