There’s nothing like summer to get you in the spirit to host a great dinner, or BBQ with friends. However if you’re like me, you may not have a space outside to host an outdoor party. I wanted to share some fun ways you can bring summer indoors this season, and really wow your guests!
You may not have an outdoor space, a deck, or patio furniture, but that doesn’t mean you can’t join in the fun of hosting a summer dinner party. I’ve teamed up with Urban Barn to create some inspiration for your next indoor Summer Party.
First things first you want your decor to be relaxed and comfy for your guests. Grab some cute tropical pillows and throws. Have a pouf or two for your guests to lounge on as a great seating option for an informal summer party. When setting your table, think outside the box. I am loving anything and everything with palm trees and cacti on it this season. Get creative by adding in some fun lanterns, and white ceramic plants to tie your tablescape together. If you are feeling crafty why not use fruit as your centre piece. I love the look of a painted pineapple, like this one from Style Me Pretty! Clip some flowers from the yard and loosely place them in a couple of mason jars to add colour and texture to your table.
When creating a menu for your indoor summer party, keep it light and fresh. Why not try some of these amazing recipes:
Lavender Lemonade ( A house in the Hills)
Grilled Peach, Blueberry, and Arugula Salad ( Two peas and their Pod)
You could also do sliders, fish tacos, or a make your own salad bar!
Summer decor is all about bright colours, unexpected patterns, and texture. Remember to have fun and enjoy summer with your friends and family, no matter the size or style of your space!
Thank you Urban Barn for partnering with me on this post.
