I love summer don’t get me wrong, but there is something about the air starting to cool and the leaves changing colour that is so magical! The best part is, that my introverted self will soon have a reason to stay home and cuddle up on the couch all winter! I always find it amazing how I am so ready for summer and never want it to end but once September rolls around I am over it and ready for some change, and that includes some change in our home decor.
For fall I love adding in pieces that are warm and cozy. I also have been slowly mixing in some darker accents in to our space, like this black throw and feather pillow. If you are looking to purchase some bigger items, like a sofa, rug or coffee table, now is the season to think outside the box. I am loving all things leather ( like this AMAZING sofa), salvaged style wood ( this cabinet) and for added warmth and coziness a shag rug like this one. Instead of using wood stump side tables separately, why not push them together to make a unique coffee table! Here are some DIY links to make your own wooden stump side tables ( link 1, link 2), I love love love how the cozy up the space and are perfect for showcasing your candles, plants and books!
Changing out your decor is a simple and affordable way to update your space from summer to fall. Make sure to add in lots of warmer colours, rustic wood and a throw pillow, rug or pouf in the ever popular shag material will take your space from breezy summer to cozy fall!
